As an employer this program is applicable to you if you are:
Job Seekers
As a Job Seeker this program is applicable for you if:
- you have been previously or are currently employed at a manufacturer, or
- you have a high demand/high specialty skill, degree or certification as identified by a manufacturer but no manufacturing experience (to see the current potential needs please click here) and
- you are willing to relocate to or already live in or within commuting distance of the MRC’s service area.
Why is does the Job Match program have these criteria?
The culture of manufacturing is unique to this sector. This program aims to:
- provide manufacturers with a pool of potential candidates who are already familiar with many facets of the manufacturing culture.
- ensure that job seekers who have benefitted from manufacturing sector specific training and development have a means of promoting their desire to continue their career path within this exciting and diverse sector.
Job Seekers who do not meet the above criteria can access a number of other programs potentially used by manufacturers looking for employees. Some of these sites are identified on Job Seekers tab on the MRC website. If you do not meet the above Job Seeker requirements please try these other avenues of entering a manufacturing career.
